Houston, Minnesota – “The Best of Bluff Country”

In the beautiful Root River Valley of southeastern Minnesota, the City of Houston offers the conveniences of modern life paired with a charming, small-town feel.

The area is home to a variety of locally-owned businesses and organizations, an excellent school system, and breathtaking scenery and opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts. Because of the beauty of the area, MN Highway 16 has been identified as a national scenic byway.

Other opportunities for enjoyment in the community include multipurpose Bluffview Community Park, the International Owl Center, close proximity to golf courses and ranches, and more than a few annual events.

As for dining, Houston boasts your choice of bar & grill-style eats, coffeehouse goodies, pizza and subs and more! Lodging options include a motel in town, cabins and campgrounds, and primitive camping sites.
